Mehboob Dharamsi

Mehboob qualified as a Solicitor in 1987. He joined Downs Solicitors LLP as a Partner, heading the Private Client Department in Downs’ Cobham office.

Mehboob is a member of the STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and a member of the Probate Section of the Law Society.

He has gained extensive experience in acting for individuals, including those in businesses, on a wide range of issues such as:

• Drafting Wills of varying complexity and values.
• Administrating estate of a deceased, again, of varying values and solving family dynamics to secure the best solution for the family.
• Carrying out tax planning to mitigate taxes, be it in estate administration or making lifetime gifts.
• Acting for trustees in all various aspects such as trust administration and preparing the necessary documents.
• Creation of powers of attorney documents.
• Addressing domicile issues.

Away from work, Mehboob enjoys running, having completed at least 5 half marathons. He also swims and watches various sports, particularly, football, cricket, tennis and rugby. He is a trustee of the Cobham Village Hall.
