Iulia joined Downs in 2022 as a Department Assistant in the Commercial Property team while studying the LLM Legal Practice Course (LPC) part-time on the weekends at the University of Law in Guildford. Iulia completed her LPC with Distinction and was awarded The University of Law Prize 2022/2023 for the highest mark in Employment Law at the Guildford campus. She commenced her Training Contract with the firm in September 2024 and is currently doing her first seat in Corporate and Commercial. As a Trainee, Iulia assists the fee earners and partners with drafting the legal documentation on a range of corporate transactions including buying and selling businesses, group restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, shareholders’ agreements as well as dealing with Companies House formalities.

Iulia is a member of the firm’s Junior Lawyers Club and the Association of Women Solicitors Surrey and often attends networking events, contributing to the firm’s relationship-building with industry-leading practitioners.

Beyond her professional role, Iulia is also a member of the Downs Running Club and enjoys weightlifting at the gym and hiking. In her spare time, Iulia enjoys cooking, attending live music concerts and spending time with family and friends.
