Bill is a solicitor within our Residential Property Department, having joined Downs in 2022.
Having worked in the property industry for several years, Bill now specialises in residential property and acts on a wide array of residential matters; from sophisticated acquisitions with experienced investors, to first time buyers purchasing their first home, Bill enjoys working closely with each of his clients to deliver a tailored, personal service every time.
Bill is also known for taking on more unique work too. With the recent introduction of the tricky Building Safety Act 2022, Bill has assisted his clients to navigate the Act’s complexities and ensure that his client’s sales and purchases proceed smoothly. In addition, Bill works with management companies in multiple developments, both large and small, to address a variety of leaseholder matters, such as dealing with licences for alterations and expedited assignments. Lease extensions are also a speciality for Bill, who is known for turning these around quickly and efficiently.
Having lived in busy London and Los Angeles, California, in the past, Bill now resides locally in rural Milford. Being a big advocate for ‘work hard, play hard’, Bill loves taking a role in creating and promoting social events for Downs, as well as enjoying his down time outside of the office – including on the golf course.
