It is with regret and sadness that we pass on the news of Paul Marsh, who has died at the age of 70.

Paul was known for his dedicated services to the legal profession, which spanned over more than four decades. He was integral to the creation of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme and in 2012 he was appointed to the first board of the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

In 2007, Paul was awarded an honorary doctorate in Law by Kingston University for his services to the profession. He was recently listed in the Times as one of the 100 most influential lawyers in England and was a former President of the Law Society.

Here at Downs Solicitors, we were privileged to work with him in his consultancy role. We offer our sincerest condolences and our thoughts are with his family.
