Solicitors, Madeleine James and Simone Horrobin, who are based in our Godalming office, were recently invited by the Rt Hon Maria Miller MP, conservative MP for Basingstoke, to a talk by the Chief Constable of Hampshire Police, Olivia Pinkney. Olivia is the first woman to be appointed to this role and she spoke about her journey through the ranks to the post of Chief Constable. She also talked about the challenges of encouraging more women into senior roles within the police.
Maria, second from the left, is the Chair of the Women and Equalities Select Committee and the talk is part of a series of presentations hosted by Maria as part of an Inspiring Women Series which aims to inspire women to go on to achieve great things in public roles, in business and in society.
