Downs has appointed Geoff Sparks to its expanding Corporate and Commercial team.
Geoff was appointed last month as a Consultant in the team and brings with him a wealth of experience in the world of corporate and commercial law dealing with mergers and acquisitions (M&A), management buyouts, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and insolvent disposals.
Geoff was a partner at Charles Russell Speechlys LLP for more than 20 years and for the majority of that time he led the corporate team in Guildford which was ranked in Tier 1of the Chambers Directory for M&A transactions in the South (worth £5 million and above) and Tier 1 in the Legal 500 for corporate and commercial (in Kent, Surrey and Sussex). He has also been ranked as a band 2 Corporate Lawyer in the South in the Chambers Directory for more than 13 years.
