We are please to announce the appointment of Terina Farnan as Senior Associate to the Family Law team in Cobham.
Terina, who joined Downs Solicitors & Notaries in March 2018 from a city firm, has more than 20 years’ experience practising exclusively for family law. She takes over from the firm’s well respected family lawyer, Valerie Cooper, who will retire shortly.
Terina has previously headed up large Family Law departments and has developed specialisms in complex divorce proceedings and family matters, often involving business assets or tax issues, both in the UK and internationally.
Her clients are mainly high net worth individuals and Terina has represented bankers and other financial professionals. She has also worked on other issues that may arise such as significant investments, assets and pensions.
Her work also extends to disputes over children in respect of Contact, living arrangements and other issues which may arise.
Terina aims to always bring a professional, yet personal approach to her cases, where she favours an amicable solution through mediation and negotiation. However she will robustly support and represent clients if amicable efforts fail and the matter proceeds to Court.
