Tribunal Fee Refund Scheme Opens

Following the decision to remove fees in the Employment Tribunal (and our earlier article on the subject – available here), the Government has now launched the opening wave of its refund scheme.
From now, the first tranche of people who are eligible for a refund will be contacted with details on how to reclaim fees they would have paid to pursue their claims. In addition to being able to reclaim fees, the Government will add interest (at the rate of 0.5%)!
Those who are not contacted as part of the first wave can pre-register; ready for when the full scheme is rolled out. To do so, individuals need to contact the Employment Tribunal office via email at ethelpwithfees@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk
